I was lucky enough to score an item from the DressCamp collection, which was very limited in the US since it’s supposed to be Asia exclusive (but I guess it wasn’t entirely!). It sold out online within a few hours of launching and I think each store in the US that was carrying it only had around six or so of every item. I knew I wanted the gold lip glass because I don’t own one. The rest, despite the really pretty packaging, which almost sucked me into buying every item [because I love black-and-white, Zebra prints, and stars], were dupe-able. I have enough pink lipsticks to last me a while. The palette looked gorgeous, but I knew I could pass it up. It sucks that people have put them up on eBay hiking up the prices. Anyway, here are some pictures and a swatch.

This gold star looks hot. It kind of reminds me of elementary school when your teacher put stickers on your homework.

Smells like vanilla!

Isn’t it pretty?!

Things to note before we get on with the swatches:
- I went to two different M·A·C stores the day this collection came out (March 20): 1) a counter at Macy*s and 2) a freestanding store. The closest one to me is a counter, not a freestanding store, and since I was in a hurry because I had errands to do, I went there first. They ran out of Melrose Mood already, so I didn’t get to swatch it. By the time I went to the second store, it was nighttime (in fact, they were about to close), so there was no point in swatching it [or the other stuff I didn't get to swatch at the first store] and taking a picture of it with bad lighting.
- I didn’t get to swatch the other stuff in the collection because at the Macy*s M·A·C counter, two MAs were hounding me and would not leave me alone. I had one in front of me and one to the right of me, both trying to get me to buy everything when I just wanted to be left alone to swatch and decide. “Are you sure you don’t want to get this? I’m just looking out for you in case we run out.” Yes, I’m sure. If you guys run out anyway, it’s not like I can’t get it online or at another store. There’s at least seven stores within 25 minutes of me, so I know where to find something if you run out of it. And don’t tell me they ran out online already (yes, she told me that!). They were just temporarily out of stock. That does not mean it’s gone. It just means it’s…well, duh, temporarily out of stock, not sold out. Also, I do not like being stared at, especially when one of them who works at a make-up store, mind you, was not even wearing any visible make-up. I’m sorry, aren’t you supposed to be representing the store you’re working for? Sigh. That incident reminded me why I hardly ever set foot in that specific M·A·C. I would rather drive 10 extra minutes to the freestanding store. I’m not trying to be a bitch here, I understand their job is to sell, but you shouldn’t keep pushing, especially when the customer has already told you what she wants to get. I think I was there for 10 minutes tops. I could not wait to get out of there because I felt like I was being suffocated.
Okay, I had to get all that out, so I’m sorry. Now, if you still want to go on, please do.

For you M·A·C addicts, here are swatches of the beauty powder blushes. I was going to Verizon to get another cell phone activated (long story; it’s almost like I go through cell phones like I go through underwear) and it was by the mall, so I stopped by M·A·C. I needed to get some eye cream for my sister anyway, so it all worked out. Overall, they were pretty pigmented and I liked the texture. They have a little bit of shimmer, definitely not glittery, which is good for me because I hate glitter. I ended up with True Romantic, but I think I’ll go back for Shy Beauty (this is a very pretty color and would make a good highlight if used with a light hand) and maybe Secret Blush as well. Sweetness definitely reminded me of Fashion Frenzy from the Fafi collection, so it was easy to pass that up. If you missed out on that, I suggest grabbing Sweetness because I have a feeling this will run out quick.
