…I’m back. I never considered myself a beauty blogger. I’m just a girl who likes to blog who also happens to be a make-up junkie (but not as much as some people, that’s for sure!). I think the last time I bought any M·A·C was months ago, not counting random purchases at CCOs. None of their last few collections have been eyecatching at all. I’m really starting to [slowly] branch out. The Friends and Family sale at Sephora about two weeks ago definitely helped with that. Here are some items I am really loving at the moment…

• Shiseido The Makeup Mascara Base – I have never used mascara primer before, but when I went to Sephora on Halloween weekend, one of the sales associates recommended to use this under Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes Mascara (review to come soon) since I observed it wasn’t waterproof. [I've found that waterproof mascaras hold my curl longer.] The Mascara Base is such a godsend. I use it under my Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara. They work so well together.
• Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Eyeliner (in Mat Black 0L) – I love that it’s really black, but I love it even more so because it stays put! The trick is to first let it set for a few seconds (maybe 15 seconds to be on the safe side) before testing its smudge-proof power (it’s not instant, y’all). After those seconds have passed, try rubbing it off. I think it’s definitely worth the $16. I even tried tightlining with this and applying it on my waterline. Granted, it rubbed off a little (you have tears in your eyes, don’t you?), but it’s lasted the longest out of any eyeliner I’ve tried on my waterline. The only downside to this is that it’s not self-sharpening, but what the hell, I don’t mind sharpening it if does what I need it to do.
• Benefit The Gloss (in Streakin’) – I love Benefit’s lip glosses because they’re not sticky (sorry, M·A·C, I still love you!). This color is perfect for me; it’s just a hint of color. It’s like the lip gloss/lipstick that’s like your lip color, but better.
• Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette – I know it’s not make-up, but after years of resisting, I finally decided to buy this because it just smelled so good. I love sweet-smelling perfume and this just did it for me (and other people as well ;) hehe). I just wish it was Eau de Parfum, but it’s okay because this, surprisingly, lasts pretty long.
