Don’t you hate it when you thought you’ve found something good, but you sadly realize later on that you were wrong? Ever since I made the decision to giving liquid foundation a try months ago, I was pretty happy. It’s not that there was anything wrong with my Studio Fix [powder foundation]. I just wanted a change. I decided to give the liquid version of Studio Fix a try. Coupled with a 187 brush, it made me look flawless and gave an airbrushed effect. A bonus was the fact that it had SPF, which can make your face look white if you’re photographed, but since I’m pale as it is, I don’t have that problem. I just look ghastly no matter what in pictures. I went with SFF because I was already content with the powder version, which didn’t break me out. I figured I would have no problem with the liquid version either. All was well…
…that is, until I realized SFF was breaking me out! It wasn’t too obvious to anyone, but since I very rarely break out, much less get a few pimples, I definitely noticed the change in my face. I had one or two cyst-like pimples, which were very painful. I didn’t think much of it. I’ve been using it since late 2007, but I figured it was the culprit since my make-up routine was pretty much the same, with the exception of switching from powder to liquid foundation. Also, when I didn’t wear any foundation at all for a week, I noticed the blemishes were gone.
This epiphany has made me very sad since I really liked the coverage that Studio Fix Fluid was giving me. I feel like I have to start all over and find another liquid foundation. That or resort to Studio Fix [powder] again, which is all right with me, but for special occasions, I like to use liquid foundation as it gives me a bit more coverage. Plus, who wouldn’t like the flawless effect it gives? Guess it’s back to the drawing board for me, but don’t be discouraged by my experience. It could still work for you.
